Urban Block Party 0.7.4

The Urban Block Party App, developed by ODAEP, provides students with an opportunity to revisit key messages, performances, and music from live school events that are integral to New York City's longest-running anti-bullying initiative.

This application aims to address the pressing issues of bullying and teen violence through an engaging format known as edutainment. The UBP concerts spotlight emerging local artists, including DJ Relly Rell (Hot 97.1, 106 & Park), Lucky Banks, Cashflow Harlem, Lea Robinson, and Von Middleton, who have quickly gained popularity among youthful audiences. Each artist not only showcases their talent but also openly discusses their personal experiences with bullying, fostering a culture of tolerance and respect among students.

To date, the UBP initiative has reached over 10,000 Department of Education students across more than 75 public schools throughout the five boroughs.
